Trusts
Trusts can be an important part of the estate planning package. Trusts can be used to set aside assets, under the guidance of a trustee, for the benefit of a minor child. They can be used to set aside assets for the benefit of a person with a disability without jeopardizing that person's eligibility for means tested benefits. They can help preserve your estate tax deduction. They can be used to pass assets directly to children or grandchildren. Trusts can be created as part of a will, or can stand independently.
I can help you determine whether a trust would be a useful part of your estate plan and to create that trust for you.
